Block lists
Planned
Today Ovra blocks trackers with a built-in list based on DuckDuckGo’s Tracker Radar, plus a few rules of its own.
We plan to let developers publish custom block lists — for example a list that hides cookie banners or blocks a category of sites — that users can add next to the built-in one.
What we’re aiming for
- Lists written in WebKit content-blocker JSON (the same rule format Safari uses), so existing rules can be reused.
- A small manifest with a name, description, version and homepage.
- Distribution as a file or through the Ovra gallery, like other add-ons.
The format will be specified here before it ships. Follow the roadmap for updates.
