The `.ovrabackup` format

AvailableOvra 1.0 and later · format version 1

An .ovrabackup file is a snapshot of a user’s Ovra settings, themes, favorites and bookmarks. Users create it in Settings › Backup & Import and restore it by double-clicking it. Each section is optional, so a backup can contain any combination.

Bookmark folder

Key	Type	Description
`name`	string	Folder name. The root folder’s name is ignored.
`bookmarks`	array	`{ "title", "url" }` objects, in order.
`folders`	array	Nested bookmark folders, in order.

Restore behaviour

Section	When restored
`settings`	Replaces the current settings.
`appearance`	Custom themes are merged by `id` (same id → replaced). `selectedTheme` is applied only if that theme exists.
`favorites`	Added. Skipped when the address already exists, ignoring `http(s)://`, `www.` and trailing slashes.
`bookmarks`	Added. Folders with the same name at the same level are merged; bookmarks whose URL already exists anywhere are skipped.

Not included

History, open tabs, cookies and other website data, and site permissions are never written to a backup.
